Sarah Ridgard on her debut novel 'Seldom Seen'

Monday 22nd October 2012, 7.30pm
Venue: Browsers Bookshop
Tickets: £3 redeemable against purchase of the book

Sarah was brought up in Suffolk (and now lives in Norwich). She studied at the UEA Creative Writing course. This is her first book and it has attracted national attention. It is set in the villages around Framlingham, and is a vivid, dark and at times humorous presentation of Suffolk village life.

Among the audience were people who live in the village she depicts in the book. They were interested to learn of her decision to use a real place to present her story. She said her parents, who still live in the area, were concerned that she would upset their neighbours but she insisted that she hadn't had any bad responses.
