A Very Dangerous Locality

Tuesday 20th November 2018, 7.30pm
Venue: Browsers Bookshop

The Suffolk Sandlings, the strip of coastline from Lowestoft to Felixstowe, is an area unusually rich in military archaeology. It was in the frontline of Britain’s defences against invasion during WWII, and the setting for nationally important exercises in the lead up to the D-Day landings. Historians Rob Liddiard and David Sims will introduce this fascinating, illustrated study and discuss their investigation into the wartime landscape.

Tickets are £20 to include a copy of the book (RRP£18.99) or £10 without.
